carol p. i want to thank you for your service to this country.odd as it may seem to non-military families,those who remain here while our loved ones serve,actually have the hardest time.i'm an old soldier and when i got up in the mornings i " knew"the risks ahead of me that day.those i left here,they just had to worry and pray.so again,thank you for your service.my wife and i work with homeless Veterans many of whom have PTSD.most of the ones we work with refuse to go to shelters or V.A.hospitals.makes what we do really hard sometime.after our day with them is over,my wife and i cry a lot.we try to get the 20-30 we work with a hot meal every day and when we can we get them to medical help when needed.during this bitter heat,we have passed out thousands of bottles of ice cold water.and you wouldnt believe the things we have had to do and go through sometimes to keep one from going to jail for being a little over the edge.thank God,we have never lost a family member and i cant begin to feel that pain.hard as it is,i am also greatful to you for holding on and going forward to try to help others.God bless you lady!sincerely,george.
